The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater | 439 pages | Published April 2016 by Scholastic Press | YA Fantasy (external image)
Summary:
For years, Gansey has been on a quest to find a lost king. One by one, he’s drawn others into this quest: Ronan, who steals from dreams; Adam, whose life is no longer his own; Noah, whose life is no longer a lie; and Blue, who loves Gansey… and is certain she is destined to kill him.
Now the endgame has begun. Dreams and nightmares are converging. Love and loss are inseparable. And the quest refuses to be pinned to a path (courtesy of Goodreads).
My thoughts:

Okay. I think I’m finally ready. My mind and body resisted the end of this series so much. I bit my nails down to nubs. WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO US @maggie-stiefvater? WHY?!
Anyway, this was a fantastic conclusion to a fantastic series. I got so attached to these characters and their stories, it was hard to let go, but I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. It felt right, which is something I appreciate when I put so much time into reading it.
Since I try my hardest to write spoiler-free reviews, I can’t say much about the plot, so I’ll write about reading it. I loved experiencing Maggie’s writing over the last few months. I admit, I had no idea what I was getting into when I started The Raven Boys, but I don’t regret it. It’s such a unique story, so different from Shiver, but with the same fantastic writing. It’s so dark and heartwarming and tense and uplifting all at the same time. I just can’t express my love for this series in words. I can’t wait until I buy my own copies!
